Andrew Jacob

"As long as i can remember I've been drawing & scribbling my name on things. I grew up on the East Coast in a Historic little town just north of Boston. Growing up and around the city of Boston was great for a kid of my nature. We had Great spots to skate, Innovative graffiti styles on the walls and some excellent un crowded reef breaks just outside the city.

The Ocean has always been a part of my life and has always played a role in my art. Through my art I try to emulate my past, present, and future, the places I've traveled, the people I've met and the places I dream of..
The major themes in my works are the ancient cultures of the World. The Aztec, Mayan, Polynesian, Egyptian, Japanese, Irish folk lore and the mysticism they poses.

My goal as an artist is for the viewer to uncover feelings that they have felt the presence of, seen or lived in a past life, or a parallel universe through the imagery in my works."

Peace & Blessings
Andrew Jacob

Andrew Jacob was born at Boston City Hospital on a cold winter's day in February, 1979. Since his cold days in Boston, Andrew has traveled the coasts of the world in search of surf and spreading the "Soul Kontroll," a life style he has cultivated through constant surfing and exploration of numerous cultures of the world, where inspiration comes from those people he has met along his travels, and their varying ways of life.

Andrew is the founder of Soul Kontroll Studios, a group of visionary artists & creative friends who's aim is to move society in a positive direction through creative and inspiring works of art, music & friendship.

Along his travels, Andrew has worked with the likes of surf Legend Jeff Clark, being commissioned to paint murals for Clark's yearly big wave invitational surf contest, "Mavericks," in Half Moon Bay, CA . He has also painted murals for Yoko Ono's "Imagine" murals project, as well as murals for album covers and surf shops all along the coasts. On the other side of the coin, Andrew has also worked in the highly competitive field of television, as art director, set designer, and muralist for the Speed & Fuel networks.

Andrew has called many places home along his way; anywhere from the grimy streets of NYC and Jersey City NJ, to the beautiful Redwood forests of
northern California, all the way down the Pacific coast to Pavones, Costa Rica where wild horses greet you before your first morning surf session. When he finds himself in Boston, Andrew creates custom artwork for friends and patrons. As of late, Andrew has collaborated with local rock legends, Aerosmith, creating custom drums and instruments for their upcoming tour. At any time you can find Andrew working on large endeavors like his recent work, designing music-video sets with Kem5 & Synk for Carlos Santana & Stephen Tyler of Aerosmith, or just hanging out, painting a guitar strap for his buddy in exchange for a few beers at the bar.
